Frequently Asked Questions

How often are SWPPP inspections required?
Ohio EPA's Construction General Permit requires inspections at least once every 7 calendar days, plus within 24 hours after any rainfall event of 0.5 inches or more.
Who can perform SWPPP inspections?
Inspections must be conducted by qualified personnel with training in erosion and sediment control, BMP installation and maintenance, and SWPPP documentation requirements.
What happens if a BMP fails during an inspection?
We document the failure, recommend corrective actions, and can perform the repair immediately if it involves field-installable BMPs like silt fence, inlet protection, or stabilization measures.
Do you handle the NOI filing?
Yes. We prepare and submit your Notice of Intent (NOI) to Ohio EPA before construction begins, and file the Notice of Termination (NOT) after final stabilization is achieved.
